Accessibility

At First Presbyterian Church, we value inclusion and welcome. We are always striving to make our services and activities as accessible as possible.

For those who are unable to attend worship in person, we livestream our services to our Facebook page, to YouTube, and to our website. Our services are at 10:00 a.m. Mountain time zone, but the recordings are available at any time on YouTube.

When you arrive at the church, we have push button doors for anyone who might need assistance.

Once you enter, you will be warmly greeted by one of our deacons. The deacons have bulletins for the service, and they can help you with any questions you might have. If you would prefer a large print bulletin, please ask, and the deacons would be happy to give one to you. The large print bulletins include enlarged copies of the hymns for the service as well as larger print order for service and announcements.

If you prefer to use the elevator to get to the sanctuary or the fellowship hall, we have a spacious, safe elevator that is routinely inspected and serviced.

Once you have arrived in the narthex (gathering space outside the sanctuary), you will find footrests for those who need them as well as cushions for back support. These are for anyone to use during the service. Feel free to take one, use it in the sanctuary, and return it when you are finished.

Inside the sanctuary, we have several options available for seating. We have our traditional pews, but we also have chairs with arms for those who might find this seating helpful, and we have hip-height chairs for those who need taller seating. The arm chairs are easily removable to make space for wheelchair seating within the congregation–rather than being set off to the side. We have a wheelchair available on site for those who need to use one on Sundays and do not have access to one.

If you have a question about accessibility, or if you have a suggestion of ways we can be more accessible, please contact the church office.

We hope you’ll come and visit us at First Presbyterian Church either in person or online. We have a place for you!
