Regional Mission
In prayer, the Mission Work Group of the First Presbyterian Church of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, seeks to follow our mission statement and goals as well as the mission of the church. One of the ways this leads us is toward a focus regionally.
Our regional mission efforts have included: helping to fund recovery from the Spencer dam collapse on the Niobrara River in Nebraska; recovery from the flooding on the Missouri River in Nebraska; helping refugees from Africa prepare for Colorado winter by collecting and supplying coats, scarves, gloves, and boots for Lutheran Family Services in Greeley, Colorado; and helping to fund projects at Highlands Presbyterian Camp and Retreat Center in Allenspark, Colorado.
In previous years we responded to help fund recovery from hurricanes in the United States, assisted immigrants with testing required by Immigration naturalization Services in order to work toward citizenship, and much more.
