Youth Fellowship

Our Youth Fellowship groups have partnered this year from St. Francis Episcopal Church. And we are excited to share in ministry together. We offer two different groups on Sunday evenings – one for middle schoolers and one for high schoolers. If you have youth in one or both of those groups, we hope you will encourage them to attend! Both groups meet at our youth building, the Rutz Educational Center (REC). The REC building is located just north of the main church building, on the corner of 21st Street and 1st Avenue. Youth can enter from the main door off of 21st Street or from the back entrance off the Blessed Beginnings driveway.

If you have youth in these age groups and would like to know more, you can contact the church at (308) 632-2131 or reach out to Pastor Jeff and Pastor April by e-mail.

Every Sunday night at 4:30pm, youth from grades 6-9 gather at the Rutz Educational Center (REC) for games, crafts, videos, Bible lessons, mission projects, and more. We usually spend 10-15 minutes at the beginning enjoying some recreation in the Schmidt Recreation Room, which is equipped with a ping pong table and a foosball table.

Every Sunday night at 6, youth from grades 9-12 get together at the REC for what we are calling “Safe Space.” In this safe space, we gather to talk about important topics in the world and how faith informs our opinions on those topics. We’ve already had some wonderful discussions about just war doctrine and bullying.

Our YF mascot is Cordenelliy the Unicorn. Cordenelliy reminds us that, “God is able to accomplish far more than all we can ask or imagine” (paraphrase of Ephesians 3:20).
